Is it something you need to be aware of when shopping for the perfect product? Luckily CiboWares has all the information you need to find just the right product for your business.

PLA refers to polylactic acid which is made from corn starch, a renewable resource which is also a substitute for traditional plastic products. Non toxic, PLA products can take up to 6 months to compost fully in an official commercial composting facility. A modified version of PLA called CPLA is also used in our hot cup lids. CPLA products, unlike PLA products, have been designed to stand up to hotter temperatures so they can be used to serve up piping hot cups of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and more. Use PLA lined products to serve up messy or greasier food items! These products offer a more superior moisture and grease barrier protection than most compostable takeout products. This way, you can choose a green option and customers can carry delicious food items without worrying about sauces or grease leaking through boxes and causing a mess during serving or transport.
